Workflow canvas edge lag while dragging nodes (UI/UX improvement)
I’d like to suggest a UI/UX improvement related to the workflow canvas. Issue While dragging or moving nodes on the canvas, the connecting edges (lines) do not move smoothly along with the nodes. The edges appear delayed and laggy, updating their position slightly after the node movement. For comparison, I’ve added a side-by-side reference of: n8n canvas smoothness experience Lyzn AI canvas smoothness experience This makes the difference in interaction smoothness clearly noticeable. Impact Creates a jittery and slightly distracting visual experience Makes it harder to precisely align nodes in complex workflows Reduces the overall polish and perceived performance of the editor Expected Behavior Edges should move in real time and remain perfectly attached to nodes while dragging Node movement and edge rendering should feel smooth, synchronized, and responsive Suggestion Improve edge re-rendering performance during node drag events Consider optimizing canvas redraw logic or edge positioning calculations for smoother interactions This improvement would significantly enhance the workflow-building experience and overall UI polish.
